Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: [Month Day, Year]

The short version: Dog Collar Guides is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on this site, at no extra cost to you.

Why We Include Affiliate Links

Dog Collar Guides is supported by our readers. When you click on a product link on our Site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. This is how we keep the Site running and continue producing free, in-depth guides on dog collars, harnesses, leashes, and training collars.

This arrangement does not cost you anything extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

The Amazon Associates Program

Dog Collar Guides is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Whenever you see a "Check Price on Amazon" button or a product link pointing to Amazon.com on our Site, that link is an affiliate link.

How This Affects Our Recommendations

Earning a commission does not influence which products we recommend or how we rank them. Our review process is based on:

  • Verifying the product exists and matches its listing before including it in a guide
  • Comparing real customer feedback and reported issues, not just manufacturer specifications
  • Evaluating fit, safety, materials, and value for the specific use case described

We do not accept payment from brands or manufacturers in exchange for a positive review or a higher ranking. If a product has genuine drawbacks, we include them in our pros and cons, regardless of whether it is an affiliate product.

Other Affiliate Relationships

In addition to Amazon, we may participate in affiliate programs with other retailers or brands from time to time. Any such relationship will follow the same disclosure practice described on this page, and affiliate links will be identified where they appear in our content.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials, which require that any material connection between a reviewer and a product or service be clearly disclosed to readers.

Questions

If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or how we select products to review, feel free to reach out through our Contact page.

This disclosure applies to all pages on Dog Collar Guides, including product reviews, buying guides, and blog posts. It is a general-purpose template and not legal advice. We recommend a final review by a qualified professional before publishing, particularly if you add non-Amazon affiliate programs later.
